oh, make me over. i'm all i want to be.
A WALKING STUDY IN DEMONOLOGY. HEY, SO GLAD YOU COULD MAKE IT.
YEAH, NOW YOU REALLY MADE IT. HEY, SO GLAD YOU COULD MAKE IT NOW.
sir holden rush barnett is in need of his ex-lady friend, who is unnamed and without a suggested play-by! holden met this girl when he was nineteen (so she's got to be around the same age) and living in l.a. (she doesn't have to be from l.a., but she most certainly had to be living there at some point.) the only required physical attribute is that this girl must be blond. so. here's the story, morning glory:
holden had been living on his own for a bit (he was emancipated from his parents when he was sixteen--the girl would know this) and had been living a fairly carefree life. he worked backstage at a relatively well-known theatre in l.a. he met the girl during one of his lunch breaks when she was just walking by and checking out the theatre. they got to talking and holden charmed his way into a date. one date turned into two, turned into three...pretty soon the two were kind of going steady. they never really put a name on it, but they were very much a couple.
as the months wore on, holden got more caught up in the girl, but she only got more caught up in getting famous. holden didn't know what she wanted to be famous for exactly, but she seemed to be trying everything. every time she got the least bit lucky, she'd push holden away and would turn into a completely different (and very selfish) person. holden didn't understand it and he didn't like it. he'd always hated l.a. because of how fake and fame-hungry the people who lived there were, but he didn't think his girl was one of those people. apparently, he'd thought wrong.
things only got worse and pretty soon, his girl was asking holden to put in a good word for her at the theatre he worked at. holden refused to do that because he thought she was going to let any kind of recognition or fame get to her head and change her. the girl eventually grew tired of holden's attitude and claimed that he was being selfish and was just bitter and jealous. she called him a loser for not having ambitions and after that fight, they kind of stopped talking, but they didn't break up. holden wanted to hold on to her still and he was going to try to talk some sense into her.
but before he could do that, his girl went off and slept with the artistic director of the theatre he worked at. holden was the last to find out and he was the butt of everyone's jokes at work. when he confronted his girl about it, she didn't even bother to apologize, but immediately attacked him and said that she had to take matters into her own hands since he wouldn't help her out. they had a huge fight and the girl ended it, saying that she didn't want to be held back by him any longer. holden quit his job and cut all ties with the girl and tried to move on with his life.
now, present day, he's working as the tech theatre management on the poseidon's star cruise ship and has been for the past month. who should show up on the ship (single or not--your choice), but his ex-girlfriend, newly famous and wealthy? the plot from there we can figure out together, but be warned that holden is a prankster, so there will be some troublemaking on his part.
