* won't keep my mouth shut anymore ,
I'VE HAD MY SHARE OF CLOSING DOORS.
( now i know i'm not afraid i know exactly what you'll say but i'm sorry it's too late )[/center]
After logging off of the Poseidon Star’s online chat room with a conversation with Serenity, Kaitlin felt just a little more irked than before. Not because serenity was as bas as Holden, but more to do with the fact that she had to talk about something that she would have much rather kept to herself. If anything, Kaitlin was more than just a little disappointed in herself, because of the whole way she had acted around Serenity. Hence the extra irking and disappointment. She didn’t even know why she had brought it up. Kaitlin then decided that she probably should’ve just lied about the way that she felt- after all, it wouldn’t be the first time. Not since school. She used to lie about her feelings all the time when she was younger.
Taking everything else into consideration, it was by a unanimous decision that she decided to sign out and go grab herself a shower. IT seemed like the best solution to the current situation and could possibly help to clear her mind. Well, that’s what she was banking on at least. Failing that, she needed to find something else to do. Even if it meant coming out of her room and having to face the rest of the ship for a third time, and then quite possibly, Holden. Not something that she fancied doing anytime soon. So, shower it was, except that she just had to wait for Serenity to drop by with some aspirin for her. Something stronger would have been nice, but the aspirin was appreciated.
Kaitlin didn’t have to wait too long, however, because there was soon a knock at her door; after a few minutes. Serenity had said that she’d drop some aspirin round to her room just before she had to start her shift. Kaitlin figured that her shift was probably very soon, hence the soon-ness of Serenity’s arrive. Grasping the tiny bottle in her hand, Kaitlin thanked Serenity quietly- she was ever so tired (and irked) and watched her leave to go to work before closing the door and sitting on the edge of her bed. Maybe she could just take some aspirin and sleep for a bit before taking a shower? That way she would be fully rested and recuperated I time for a reunion of sorts.
Yes, that sounded like a brilliant idea. So, when she had been given the aspirin, Kaitlin immediately took two, chased with apple juice and curled up in a ball on her bed; arms wrapped tightly around her knees. It was quite a comfortable bed and it didn’t take too long before she had fallen asleep. She was asleep for a good few hours before her body clock finally woke her up and she almost fell out of the bed. Managing to catch herself at the right moment before impeding doom. It wouldn’t have been anything bad if she had fallen, but she was so frail and weak these days; anything was a mere possibility.
Yawning and stretching to her full height of five foot nothing, she stood on her tiptoes. A rather loud yawn escaped her lips a second time around and she let out a small breath. Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, Kaitlin traipsed across her room and stepped into the bathroom. It felt good to have a room that she could call her own. At least for the moment anyway. She had been told that there was a possibility she had to share. She just hoped not yet. Peace and quite was just what the doctor had ordered for her (and her manager), though she probably wasn’t going to get that when Spencer and Serenity came with alcohol. And, hopefully cheesecake. Vegan cheesecake. However, if it was anything like told times..? Well, it was going to be a lot of fun.
Grabbing one of the provided (and extremely soft) towels, Kaitlin locked the door behind her and turned on the water, waiting until it was steaming before stepping out of her clothes and under the water. It was most definitely a welcome change from earlier and she felt instantly relaxed. Though that still didn’t stop her from taking an extra long shower. Just to stay under the running water for an extended period of time wasn’t something that Kaitlin normally did (or was allowed), but it was good at least. After a while she started to wash. Making her skin smell fruity fresh and her hair smell like strawberries- her favourite fruit, and smell. When Kaitlin finally shut off the water another hour had passed.
Ignoring the fact that it was now the evening and that she had been asleep for a lot longer than she had originally anticipated; Kaitlin soldiered on. At least she was feeling a whole lot better than she had done several hours ago. All she needed to do now was to get herself dry and then dressed in suitable clothing. Oh, and then dry her hair. Then, of course wait for the arrival of her two best friends and party the night away. So, she grabbed her suitcase (which she had neglected to unpack because she was so used to just living out of it day-by-day now). Blindly she pulled out a red and black dress, along with a jacket of some kind- because she was cold. Slowly, Kaitlin took her sweet ass time in getting dressed and then drying her hair. Pulling it back into a messy ponytail and adding some dark eye make-up.
Putting everything away, Kaitlin then sat on her bed and placed her head in her hands. A small sigh escaped her lips as slender fingers rubbed harshly at her temples. After all the effort of trying to get rid of the insufferable headache she felt that it was coming back. Which wasn’t very good in the slightest. Nevertheless, Kaitlin forced a smile when there was another knock at the door. She tried to make it not look as though she was in was in pain; every step she took made her wince. A thudding in her head as she opened the door and stood up a little straighter. Looking directly at the female before her and stepping to the side to enable her entrance into her VIP suite.
