first up for miss grace walters is none other than her best friend (and current crush), taya fisher. they've been friends since childhood, meaning taya will have to be from canterbury, connecticut as well. taya's always been the one to keep grace sane and sensible and i've always imagined her as a sweet girl who's sexy without realizing it. but you're really free to play her anyway you like. :) anyway, grace dropped out of college to drag taya on a road trip (your choice if taya was in college during that time or not) and the two got into some crazy hijinks on that trip. typical impulsive this-is-the-time-of-our-lives kind of things, you know? anyway, it was on this road trip that grace realized that she is bisexual and has a great big ol' crush on taya. not wanting to risk ruining their relationship, grace turned her romantic affection towards a random townie the girls picked up on their road trip--her current boyfriend, russell bryant. so taya and russell will be familiar with one another, but i imagine there's a bit of animosity between the two.
anyway, fast forward to present day. grace has dragged taya into another crazy ride. they decided not to return to connecticut after their road trip and instead stayed in florida, where they heard about the poseidon's star cruise. they worked on the ship for the past year and are back for round two. taya works as the manager of the coco cabana bow bar. anywho, it's up to you to decide when taya started liking grace (although i imagine she liked grace first). taya is also one of the few people who fully supports grace's dream to be a famous singer. after many bumps in the road, i'd like these two to end up as finals. :3

next up is miss grace walters' current boyfriend, russell bryant. grace and russell have been going steady for a year and three months now, but their relationship is (and always has been) pretty rocky. grace met russell while she and her best friend taya fisher were on a road trip from connecticut down to florida (so russell should have lived in an eastern state) and they had a bit of a whirlwind romance. next thing you know, russell's a part of the road trip and he and grace are dating. when they end up in florida, russell joins the girls on poseidon's star, where he currently works as head server in poseidon's star (the same restaurant grace works in). i imagine russell to be a little romantic, but also a little bit of a jerk. he's definitely forgotten grace's birthday in the past and in general, it seems like he doesn't really care about her, but sometimes their relationship really works. grace wants to break up with him, but she'd feel horrible about it because she'd know it would mostly be because of taya and she also still really likes russell. it would also make things awkward where they work.
russell doesn't really support grace's dreams (at least, not like taya does). russell doesn't really like taya because he thinks grace spends too much time with her instead of with him. i also think russell should be the one to break things off (not too soon though). he also may or may not be cheating on her. it's all about how you interpret their subplot...
